Daniela R. Piccio holds a PhD in Political Science from the European University Florence and her research interests include comparative politics, political representation, social movements, and party (finance) regulation. She has extensive experience in working with national and international research groups. Her most recent research projects focused on the modalities of capitalism and types of democracy, internal party democracy in Italy, re-conceptualization of party democracy, party responses to social movements and others. She has also worked for public institutions with regard to public funding of political parties, as well as for a voting application in the occasion of the European Parliament elections on several occasions. She has ample teaching experience, research experience, experience in international projects as well as experience working with civil and policy sectors.
